Frequently asked questions

All the key questions about our service!

When should my child first see the dentist?

The first visit to the dentist is ideally recommended after the first tooth comes through, but no later than your child's first birthday. This allows us to advise you early on and get your child used to the dental practice in a playful way. By the age of three at the latest, your child should then come in for their first comprehensive examination.

How can I prepare my child for a visit to the dentist?

Talk positively about the visit and avoid words associated with fear. Explain that the dentist counts and cleans the teeth. You can also read a children's book about going to the dentist.

What special treatments are there for children?

In addition to regular check-ups and brushing lessons, we offer fissure sealing to protect the back teeth from tooth decay, fluoride treatments to strengthen the enamel and child-friendly fillings.

Will the treatment be painful for my child?

We place the greatest importance on pain-free treatment. If needed, we use gentle anaesthetic methods and proceed very carefully to make it a positive experience.

How important is caring for baby teeth?

Baby teeth are more than just temporary: they act as important space holders for the permanent teeth and play a key role in speech development and chewing. Good care is essential to prevent tooth decay in baby teeth, as decay can affect the health of the permanent teeth that follow. Even with decay in baby teeth, fillings are often needed to save the tooth and prevent further damage.
